Unlocking Requirements

You can't just drive straight to the location and expect the car to be there; you need to trigger the rumor first.

Keep an eye and ear out for a radio message from Mei. She will drop the following clue:

"Perfect for the Ito region's rough terrain, this Nissan Safari has been left to weather the elements near the Wind Farm. Use the photo to find it."

Once you hear that broadcast, check your Cars menu. The vehicle's details will officially populate in your Treasure Cars list, meaning it has spawned in the world and is ready to be claimed.

Exact Map Location

To find the Safari Turbo, you will need to head over to the northeastern portion of the Ito region, right along the eastern edge of the map.

Finding the Car

1. Set Your Waypoint: Look at the northern hills of Ito for the Wind Farm point of interest. It is located in a wooded, mountainous area just past the Toyota 2000GT Barn Find and the Minka House.
2. Follow the Route: Grab your favorite off-road rig or rally car. You will want to follow the main dirt road that heads north up into the mountains.
3. Look for the Windmills: As you hit the beginning of the dirt Drift Zone, look up at the skyline. You will easily spot the massive white wind turbines. Break off the main dirt road and start climbing the hill toward them.
4. Collect the Vehicle: Drive all the way to the highest wind turbine on the hill. The Nissan Safari is parked right at the base of it, sitting next to some construction equipment and safety railings. Just drive up to it, hit the collect command, and it goes straight into your garage.

Base Car Statistics

Once you get behind the wheel, don't expect to win any drag races. The Safari Turbo starts life as a D-Class vehicle, and its acceleration is painfully slow. However, if you are looking for something to tackle steep hills, mud, and brutal terrain right out of the box, its off-road stats are highly impressive for its class.
